Listening to this panel wasn't the most exciting thing ever, but I will admit that minus a few swearwords, it was entertaining. Below are some of my favorite quotes from the panel.
"Bring humanity and humor to the end customer."
"Acting human and bringing some sort of value."
"...we're looking at the overall ecosystem...
"People don't realize that it is the willingness to prepare..."
"You have to know what's working by channel."
"Content has driven business results for years."
"Is this really about planning serendipity?"
"Be prepared to engage continuously."
I love how everyone has their own opinions. They build off of each other and joke around, but they ultimately have a very strong position.
I have to admit that I had to look up what in the world they were talking about. I had no idea what the "dunk in the dark" Oreo tweet was. I've heard it said before, but I've never actually looked it up. Obviously I wasn't one of the ones on Twitter during the blackout. ;)
I also liked how they talked about a baseline for every brand. They don't all have to "make records" immediately, but rather they need to understand what works and learn to apply across all channels. Then they need to BUILD their brand to make records.
THanks for taking the time to post about the reading. These notes get right to the heart of what I was hoping you would take away from the piece.
